This gorgeous Victorian 5-bedroom townhouse needed complete modernisation when we took it on. There was always a sense of what had been there before, so we tried to keep as many original features as possible whilst turning it into a lovely modern home that the new owners could eventually enjoy.
Grain Property started work on this property back in June 2021. We knew from the get-go that this was going to be a real labour of love. The whole house went through an entire makeover.
This included a loft conversion, brand new electrical and water supply into the building and a new central heating system. Not forgetting the installation of new windows throughout and installing bifold doors and underfloor heating in the kitchen area.
The loft conversion involved building a dormer window for additional space, meaning we could fit a lovely en-suite bathroom alongside the 5th bedroom. Grain replaced the old roof with a new slate to ensure the house kept its charm within the Conversation Area.
Grain also installed a new kitchen, three bathrooms, and a complete garden redesign to create three tiers.
The victorian feature in the house was maintained wherever possible. For example, the victorian coving and fireplaces were restored, and the house was re-plastered and redecorated.
Grain is very happy with how the project turned out. The house was completed on time and within client budget. This stunning property has a new lease of life.
